Prepare the Steak
- Season the beef sirloin steaks with salt and black pepper on both sides.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Sear the steaks for 4-5 minutes on each side until browned.
Make the Sauce
- Remove the steaks from the skillet and set them aside on a plate.
- In the same skillet, add the chopped onion and sliced bell pepper. Sauté for about 5 minutes until softened.
- Add minced garlic and cook for an additional minute until fragrant.
- Stir in the crushed tomatoes, oregano, basil, and red wine vinegar. Bring the sauce to a simmer.
Combine and Cook
- Return the seared steaks to the skillet, nestling them in the sauce.
- Cover the skillet and let simmer for about 15-20 minutes until the steaks are cooked to your desired level of doneness.
Serve
- Once cooked, remove from heat and let the steaks rest for a few minutes.
- Serve hot, topped with the sauce and accompanied by your choice of sides.

Notes
For extra flavor, consider adding a splash of red wine to the sauce while it simmers. Serve with crusty bread to soak up the delicious sauce.
