Ingredients
  

For the Base
  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped walnuts
For the Topping
  • 1 cup powdered sugar for dusting

Method
 

Prepare the Dough
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and 1/2 cup of powdered sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the vanilla extract and mix until combined.
  4. Gradually add the all-purpose flour and chopped walnuts, mixing until the dough comes together.
Shape and Bake
  1. Using your hands, form the dough into 1-inch balls and place them on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  2. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
  3. Remove the cookies from the oven and let them cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes.
  4. Roll the warm cookies in the remaining 1 cup of powdered sugar until well coated.
Cool and Serve
  1. Transfer the cookies to a wire rack to cool completely.
  2. Once cooled, dust with additional powdered sugar if desired before serving.

Notes
