Ingredients
  

For the Base
  • 2 cups pretzel sticks
  • 1 cup dark chocolate chips
For the Caramel
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter cut into pieces
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream warm
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
For the Topping
  • 1/2 cup sea salt for sprinkling on top

Method
 

Prepare the Base
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Spread the pretzel sticks evenly on the prepared baking sheet.
Make the Caramel
  1. In a medium saucepan, heat the granulated sugar over medium heat, stirring constantly until it melts and turns a golden brown color.
  2. Add the unsalted butter and stir until fully melted and combined.
  3. Remove from heat and carefully stir in the warm heavy cream. Mix well until smooth.
  4. Stir in the sea salt and mix until incorporated.
Combine and Bake
  1. Pour the caramel over the pretzels, ensuring they are well coated.
  2. Sprinkle the dark chocolate chips evenly on top of the hot caramel.
  3. Place the baking sheet in the oven for about 5 minutes, or until the chocolate is soft.
  4. Remove from the oven and use a spatula to spread the melted chocolate evenly over the caramel.
Final Touches
  1. Sprinkle additional sea salt over the top of the chocolate for added flavor.
  2. Allow the bark to cool at room temperature for about 30 minutes, then refrigerate until fully set.
  3. Once set, break the bark into pieces and serve.
