Ingredients
  

For the Base
  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 1 cup bread crumbs preferably whole wheat
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 medium onion finely chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic roasted and mashed
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh thyme chopped
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
For the Topping
  • 1/2 cup ketchup or barbecue sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

Method
 

Prepare the Mixture
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, bread crumbs, egg, chopped onion, roasted garlic, parsley, thyme, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
Shape the Meatloaf
  1. Transfer the meat mixture to a loaf pan, shaping it into a loaf.
  2. Smooth the top with a spatula to ensure even cooking.
Prepare the Topping
  1. In a small bowl, mix together ketchup and Worcestershire sauce.
  2. Spread the mixture evenly over the top of the meatloaf.
Bake the Meatloaf
  1. Place the loaf pan in the preheated oven and bake for 60 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
Rest and Serve
  1. Remove the meatloaf from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
  2. Slice and serve warm with your favorite sides.
