Prepare the Sandwich
- Spread softened butter on one side of each slice of bread.
- On the unbuttered side of two slices, layer the mozzarella cheese, pepperoni, and drizzle with pizza sauce.
- Top with the remaining slices of bread, buttered side facing out.
Cook the Sandwiches
- Preheat a skillet over medium heat.
- Place the sandwiches in the skillet and cook for about 3-4 minutes until golden brown.
- Carefully flip the sandwiches and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until the cheese is melted and the bread is golden brown.
Serve
- Remove the sandwiches from the skillet and let them cool for a minute.
- Cut in half and serve with extra pizza sauce for dipping.
