Ingredients
  

For the Base
  • 2 sheets puff pastry thawed
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh thyme chopped
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
For the Topping
  • 1 egg egg beaten for egg wash
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt for sprinkling
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper freshly ground

Method
 

Prepare the Pastry
  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. On a lightly floured surface, roll out each sheet of puff pastry to smooth it out.
  3. Cut each sheet into 3-inch squares.
Fill and Shape
  1. In a bowl, mix together the mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, parsley, thyme, and garlic powder.
  2. Place a tablespoon of the cheese mixture in the center of each pastry square.
  3. Fold each corner of the square into the center to create a snowflake shape, pinching the edges to seal.
Finish and Bake
  1. Brush the tops of the pastry shapes with the beaten egg to give them a golden color.
  2. Sprinkle with sea salt and black pepper.
  3. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown and puffed.
Serve
  1. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before transferring to a serving platter.
