For the Base
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour sifted
  • 1 cup eggnog preferably full-fat
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
For the Glaze
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons eggnog for drizzling
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg for garnish

Method
 

Prepare the Bundt Cake
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a bundt pan.
  2. In a large bowl, cream the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract and eggnog.
  4. In another bowl, mix the sifted flour, baking powder, nutmeg, cinnamon, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared bundt pan and smooth the top.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Let the cake cool in the pan for 15 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
Prepare the Glaze
  1. In a small bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar and eggnog until smooth.
  2. Drizzle the glaze over the cooled bundt cake and sprinkle with ground nutmeg for garnish.
