Ingredients
  

For the Base
  • 1 package puff pastry sheets thawed
  • 1 egg egg for egg wash
For the Filling
  • 1 cup dark chocolate chips
  • 1 tablespoon heavy cream for richness
For the Dusting
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar for dusting before serving

Method
 

Prepare the Filling
  1. In a small saucepan, combine dark chocolate chips and heavy cream over low heat. Stir until the chocolate melts and the mixture is smooth.
  2. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly while you prepare the puff pastry.
Prepare the Pastry
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Roll out the thawed puff pastry on a lightly floured surface. Cut into squares (about 4x4 inches).
  3. Place a small spoonful of the chocolate filling in the center of each pastry square.
Assemble the Pastries
  1. Fold the corners of the pastry squares over the filling to form triangles and pinch the edges to seal.
  2. Transfer the pastries to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  3. Beat the egg and brush it over the top of each pastry for a golden finish.
Bake
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown and puffed.
  2. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly on a wire rack.
Serve
  1. Dust the pastries with powdered sugar before serving.
  2. Enjoy your delicious chocolate puff pastries warm or at room temperature.
