Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup fresh blueberries
  • 2 tbsp dried culinary lavender
  • 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 46 lemons)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 cups filtered water
  • 1 cup vodka or gin (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Lavender Syrup: In a saucepan over medium heat, combine 1 cup of water and sugar. Stir until dissolved, then add dried lavender. Simmer for about 10 minutes before straining out the lavender buds and letting the syrup cool.
  2. Juice Lemons: Roll lemons on the counter and squeeze out 1 cup of lemon juice, removing any seeds.
  3. Mix Ingredients: In a pitcher, combine cooled syrup, lemon juice, and remaining 1 cup of water. Stir well and adjust sweetness if desired.
  4. Muddle Blueberries: In serving glasses, muddle half of the fresh blueberries at the bottom. Pour lemonade mixture over muddled berries.
  5. Chill: Refrigerate for at least one hour to meld flavors.
  6. Serve: Pour over ice in glasses garnished with extra blueberries and optional alcohol if desired.
