  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs, room temperature
  • 1/3 cup whole milk
  • 4 tbsp matcha powder (divided)
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips, melted
  • 1 cup unsweetened coconut flakes

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8-inch square baking pan.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together cake flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream together butter and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well.
  4. Gradually add dry ingredients and milk until just combined; do not overmix.
  5. Divide batter into two bowls; mix in 2 tbsp matcha into one half.
  6. Alternate spoonfuls of each batter in the pan for a marbled effect. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Allow to cool completely before cutting into squares. Dip each piece in melted white chocolate and roll in coconut flakes.
