  • 4 cups sturdy tortilla chips
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese blend

  • 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes with green chilies
  • 1 cup sour cream (for serving)
  • 1 cup salsa (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until no longer pink. Drain excess fat and stir in taco seasoning and diced tomatoes until combined.
  3. Layer half of the tortilla chips at the bottom of the baking dish. Top with the meat mixture and half of the cheese.
  4. Add the remaining tortilla chips on top, followed by the rest of the cheese.
  5. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until bubbly and golden brown.
  6. Let cool slightly before serving with dollops of sour cream and salsa.
