- 1 cup dried navy beans
 - 4 slices bacon, chopped
 - 1 cup bourbon
 - ½ cup pure maple syrup
 - ½ cup ketchup
 - 1 teaspoon mustard powder
 - 1 onion, diced
 - 3 cloves garlic, minced
 - Salt and pepper to taste
 
- Soak dried navy beans overnight in water.
 - Preheat the oven to 325°F (165°C). Drain and rinse soaked beans.
 - In a large pot over medium heat, cook chopped bacon until crispy. Remove bacon but leave drippings.
 - Sauté diced onion in the same pot until translucent (about 5 minutes), then add minced garlic and cook until fragrant.
 - Return bacon to pot and add drained beans, bourbon, maple syrup, ketchup, mustard powder, salt, and pepper. Stir well.
 - Transfer mixture into a baking dish or Dutch oven and cover tightly with foil. Bake for about 2 hours.
 - Uncover and bake for an additional 30 minutes to thicken.
