- 6 cups mixed apples (4 cups Granny Smith & 2 cups Honeycrisp)
 - 3/4 cup granulated sugar
 - 1 tsp cinnamon
 - 1/4 tsp nutmeg
 - 1 tbsp lemon juice
 - 1 pie crust (store-bought or homemade)
 - 2 tbsp butter
 
- Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
 - Peel, core, and slice the apples. Toss them with lemon juice in a large bowl.
 - Add sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg to the apples; mix until evenly coated.
 - Roll out the pie crust and place it in a pie dish. Pour in the apple mixture, dot with butter, then cover with the top crust.
 - Seal the edges and cut slits in the top for steam vents.
 - Bake for 45-50 minutes or until golden brown.
