  • 1 cup barbecue sauce (store-bought or homemade)

  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

Instructions

  1. Place the chicken breasts at the bottom of the slow cooker.
  2. Scatter the chopped onion and minced garlic over the chicken.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix together barbecue sauce, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, smoked paprika, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper until well combined. Pour over the chicken.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours until the chicken shreds easily.
