  • 1 cup powdered sugar (for icing)
  • 2 tbsp milk (for icing)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until fluffy. Add the egg and vanilla; mix until combined.
  3. In another bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt. Gradually add this mixture to the wet ingredients until just combined.
  4. Roll out the dough on a floured surface into a rectangle about half an inch thick. Spread softened butter over it.
  5. Mix brown sugar with additional cinnamon; sprinkle over the dough. Roll it up tightly into a log and slice into one-inch pieces.
  6. Place on prepared baking sheets and bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown. Drizzle with icing made from powdered sugar mixed with milk before serving.
