Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and cinnamon.
  3. In another bowl, combine melted butter, eggs, milk, and vanilla; mix until smooth.
  4. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry mixture; stir gently until just combined.
  5. In a small bowl, mix brown sugar and cinnamon for the swirl filling.
  6. Pour half of the batter into the prepared pan; sprinkle half of the cinnamon filling on top. Add remaining batter and swirl with a knife.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown; cool slightly.
  8. For icing, mix powdered sugar with milk (and cream cheese if using) until smooth; drizzle over cooled cake.
