  • 1 box (8.5 oz) cornbread mix
  • 1 cup water (for cornbread mix)

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef or turkey until fully cooked. Drain excess grease.
  3. Stir in the black beans, fire-roasted tomatoes, corn, and chili powder. Let simmer for about 10 minutes.
  4. Prepare the cornbread mix according to package instructions, adding water and mixing well.
  5. Spread the chili mixture evenly in the greased baking dish and pour the cornbread batter over it.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown on top.
