  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp sea salt
  • 1/2 cup coconut milk (full-fat)
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup or honey
  • 1/4 cup additional tahini
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8×8-inch baking pan.
  2. In a saucepan over low heat, melt the butter. Stir in granulated and brown sugar until combined.
  3. Whisk in eggs one at a time, then add vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, sift cocoa powder, flour, and sea salt together. Fold into wet ingredients until just combined.
  5. Pour batter into prepared pan and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs.
  6. While baking, prepare the tahini caramel by combining coconut milk, maple syrup (or honey), additional tahini, and cornstarch in a saucepan over medium heat until thickened (about 5-7 minutes).
