  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup Kahlúa or coffee liqueur

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. Melt butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar together in a saucepan over low heat until smooth.
  3. Remove from heat, cool slightly, then whisk in eggs and vanilla until fully combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, sift flour, cocoa powder, espresso powder, and salt together.
  5. Gradually fold dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
  6. Fold in chocolate chips and Kahlúa until the batter is thick but smooth.
  7. Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake for 25-30 minutes. The toothpick should come out with moist crumbs. Cool before slicing.
