  • 1 lb ground beef or thinly sliced steak

  • 1 cup mushrooms, diced
  • 1 ½ cups provolone cheese, shredded

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Slice the tops off the bell peppers and remove seeds.
  3. In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef or steak. Add onions and mushrooms; cook until softened (5-7 minutes).
  4. Stir in garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix in half of the provolone cheese until melted.
  5. Fill each pepper with the meat mixture and pack it tightly.
  6. Place the stuffed peppers upright in a baking dish, cover with foil, and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil, add remaining cheese on top, and bake uncovered for another 10 minutes until bubbly.
